Concept Development
I consider myself to be a multi-disciplinary communicator and part of my practice is developing concepts through different mediums. I have focused on collaging, photography and mixed media work and continue to explore these skills through my work and by responding to briefs and themes.
Groove is in the heart
Developing the 70's disco concept through a medium of my choice
I named this shoot ‘Groove is in the heart’ and wanted to visually portray how 70’s disco makes me feel colourful, expressive, flamboyant and androgynous, with styling nods to 70’s fashion through fits, accessories, hair & make up and set design.

When people view my shoot, I want them to see that you don’t have to be on the dancefloor to show you love disco. It is a part of you, the natural/uncommon locations and activities in the images will help convey this.

After the shoot I experimented with layering text as an additional nod to famous disco lyrics to further portray the theme and to experiment with composition. Overall I wanted to explore stereotypes and components of disco to create a unique and modern disco concept.
Crocs
'From meme to dream'
Crocs
Crocs have always been like marmite, you either love them or you hate them. After researching into the history of Crocs, reflecting on their highs and lows and noticing a new market demand for them amongst the younger generation of today I decided to visually explore the stigma around crocs through a womenswear, at home, vibrant photoshoot. I aimed for my shoot to be colourful, layered and cool. It would inspire the croc lovers and be a croc haters’ worst nightmare.
